If I Could Show You

28/12/07 @ 18:07

If I could show you,
A place in your heart where the world stands still,
And a time when the battles of war and conflict cease to be;

If I could show you,
A beautiful garden,
Where the animals frolic and twitter as if no one is watching;

If I could show you,
Where black and white ignite,
Exploding into radiant colours of a rainbow;

If I could show you,
A blistering sunset blazing into life,
Burning its way into the night;

If I could show you,
The sound of the Eternal,
Would it make you love me?
Or would you love the One that made it?

Treading Lightly Once More!

Dear friends, I have returned from my travels, though I have not been away all of this time. There has been much to process, and a break seems to have done me good.

But now it is time to speak out once more, to put myself on the line, let my spirit have some expression, communicating with you all.

In Sweden, I learned what it means to work hard for something worthwhile. I learned the importance of balancing work with thought, work with play, work with creativity. If I could boil it down into one change, I would say this: I became a man.

I also learned that I am a poet. I suppose I should have suspected as much, given the amount of poetry I write…

So, without further ado, let me thank you for returning to listen.

I look forward to being part of your journey once more.

Love to all,

Lewis
