I used to spend a lot of time writing in a private journal also - that too can be good for viewing your progress over time. I have to say though, I'm looking at things a bit differently nowadays - for my own part journalling tended to exercise and beef up my thinking and analyzing parts of me, or as a record which I could then use for comparison (and judgment in some form or another). That said, journaling and sharing your journey with others is great too, I love to hear people's stories.

I blog my journey too...I feel that sharing our journeys can be so cathartic and helpful to others at the same time. It also gives me a lot to look back at to see where I have been going, when I have been flowing and how well I have been doing compared to how well I think I have been doing!

Thanks becca. It's a fine sentiment indeed - similar in message to Sting's song Englishman In New York: "Be yourself, no matter what they say", that was always one of my favourites.

Ah Rich, thanks so much. That's certainly the most empowering thing to do, "Take me as you find me, or don't take me, find someone else". Makes it real simple actually, leaves things down to personal choice, and no sense of having to be everything for everyone. Like Don Miguel Ruiz's great Toltic Wisdom: "Don't Take *Anything* Personally".

And your last quote? That's perfect ;)

Dude,

Good to have you back, I thought I'd posted a comment to your previous post a while ago, but I see it didn't save.

I've tried to blog in a "take me as you find me" kinda way, I've always felt that the destination is nothing without the journey.

I've feel it's OK to point things out, even if I'm guilty of them myself. I'm far from perfect, and I'm the first to admit it, but it's better to acknowledge things and at least make the effort.

As a wise man once said "I'm not perfect and you're not perfect, but hey, that's perfect!"
