Image Is Nothing; Image Is Everything

It seems to me that when we take image for all that there is - when we mistake the image for reality - we find things to be hollow. Yet when we ignore the image to try to see the reality behind it, we find our findings incomplete. Both are necessary, both interconnected. Image manifests from what is behind image, and yet it cannot be truly separated from it any more than a wave can be separated from the ocean.

Still, we cannot cling to image, it must naturally change and evolve, or change and pass away. It is no different to music, where there are many different styles, but it is all a manifestation of sound and silence. You have your style, I have mine. You have your image, I have mine. We can play whatever style we like, we can merge styles in a fusion, or change from one to the next. Image is a reflection, and it can be useful to look at this reflection as it can tell us a great deal. But we must remember too that there are things that are beyond reflection, there is the source that is reflected.

A photon, my man, is a particle that has the properties of a wave. I believe I can rest my case.

    Excellent Zen-babble!

    Quite right bud!

The babbling brook also babbles, and what could be more Zen than that? ;)
