It is a great honour and privilege to be able to share with you my experiences of listening to my dear friend Katie Rose’s new CD. I know Katie to be a beautiful and caring being, and this comes through strongly within her music.

Her voice is full of lightness, encouraging you to join her in the open-hearted space that she sings from. The opening song, Angel, expresses it perfectly for me: “There’s an angel, singing in my heart.”

Katie incorporates traditional chants into some of her songs, sharing those that mean a great deal to her, presenting them in a way that compliments her own words and feelings.

This is an album of pure healing waters, touching and enlivening those connections that our deeper selves have to Divinity and the Beauty and Power of Nature, and our Mother Earth.

Beautiful lyrics, piano, instrumentation and recording means this is a joy to listen to, to dance to, or return to silence with, or to cry with. I know that I haven’t yet made it through the album without tears flowing at some point, a gift I am eternally grateful for.

What if, within the joy you feel, the urge to share that joy comes forth? What if, when you are feeling wonderful, and grateful, your heart sends out a prayer that all beings may know this joy that you are feeling? What if, having offered this prayer, you were moved to be the answer to this prayer yourself, to give others the opportunity of experiencing that which you are grateful for?

Medicines Sans Frontiers is an international organisation committed to providing medical aid where it is most needed, regardless of race, religion, politics or gender and also to raising awareness of the plight of the people they help.

With a stunning voice enriched by vocal techniques from across the globe, Cat von Trapp creates a luminous landscape of sound.

Her solo recordings for ambient compilation albums feature tracks such as the pulsing prayer of ‘Buffalo Returning” and the starry heavens of ‘Ishtar’. She has collaborated with artists such as Jah Wobble, Suns of Arqua, Adam Helal, Tim Wheater and Loop Guru.

Her voice, with music co-written with Loop Guru, features in the film ‘Entrapment’ starring Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones and her own compositions are used in television soundtracks.

Touch the Earth are a Tribal Folk Band that draw their inspiration from the natural world around them, their music has been described as: ‘A vibration of pure energy gathers one up, the flutes, violin, guitar, didge, drummers and singers are part of this surrealism – the essence is pure spirit.’ – The Holistic Channel

Their recent Album ‘The Sacred Wheel’ was described by Heathen Harvest (www.heathenharvest.com ) as:
